The International Journal of Business Impact (IJBI) is a biannual journal focused on serving the business fraternity in its endeavors to stay in tune with the ever-changing and dynamic business environment. The journal supports scientific investigations to find solutions to current and future business challenges in a systematic and organized manner.
IJBI emphasizes making an impactful contribution to various dimensions of business and management by publishing the finest research based on originality, significance, interdisciplinary nature, insightful ideas, and trends affecting professionals, industrialists, entrepreneurs, researchers, and the wider public. It covers wide-ranging fields such as:
• Strategic Management
• Production Management
• Entrepreneurship
• Business Ethics
• Marketing Management
• Organizational Theories
• Innovation Management
• Leadership
The journal follows a double blind peer review process by concealing the identities of both the author and the reviewer from each other. It ensures fairness and transparency and nullifies the scope of any bias, for example, academic status, gender, ethnicity, nationality, etc.
Additionally, the journal is free of cost, and there is no Article Processing Fee (APC) for reviewing and publishing manuscripts. The purpose is to motivate budding authors and researchers to develop engaging and innovative outcomes that could help businesses, communities, and society.
IJBI’s Two-fold Mission Statement
• First, publishing highly relevant business advancements and offering a platform to discuss issues related to business and management.
• Second, disseminating the investigation results to stakeholders to improve business decisions.
The International Journal of Business Impact (IJBI) supports knowledge and learning in all possible dimensions, including inclusive, innovative, integrative, and impactful. Inclusive learning covers essential aspects of a discipline and promotes interdisciplinary dialogue and a range of theoretical, methodological, or empirical approaches to identify current problems and feasible solutions. Innovative learning develops new ideas related to theory and practice. Integrative learning connects the dots between theory, research, methods, and practice. Last but not least, impactful learning strongly influences organizational practices, simultaneously transforming policies for the better.
The Research Contribution: Theoretical, Methodological, and Empirical
IJBI focuses on covering business and management dimensions in a comprehensive manner. It acknowledges and welcomes diverse theoretical orientations, wide-ranging data, and methodological viewpoints. The Journal seeks research papers that provide novel contributions- theoretically, methodologically, or substantively.
Authors providing theoretical contributions must focus on advancing conceptual frameworks of the original constructs. Thinking of some additional variables (dependent, independent, moderating, or mediating) is one way to contribute theoretically. Additionally, authors can develop additional theory linkages or improve the conceptual rationale behind existing theories.
Methodological contributions focus on improving research methods to enhance the generalizability of the research, reduce potential issues in existing research methods about a specific study, or employ refined measures that do not rely on self-reports. It also involves comparisons of proposed new methods to existing methods, justifies the superiority of new methods, and presents the limitations of new methods.
Empirical contributions emphasize on testing something that has not been tested previously. It can explore theoretical linkages between two concepts or constructs. It can also determine the degree to which a variable mediates the relationship between two constructs.
Salient Aspects to Consider
– Research papers can have primary data collection (quantitative and qualitative) and/or secondary data (comprehensive meta-analysis data) methods.
– Researchers can undertake different research designs to align research objectives and hypotheses, such as explanatory, experimental, exploratory, descriptive, or something else. However, we encourage authors to move beyond descriptive and explanatory methods to be critical and analytical.
– Authors should clearly state their conceptual paradigms, justify their methods and data analysis plan, and suggest recommendations to suit wide-ranging organizational contours.
– Manuscripts should consult relevant literature, identify significant gaps, and make compelling contributions to nurture organizational learning. They should clearly connect their research scope, goals, methods, and recommendations.
– The conclusion should be a thorough wrap-up of the entire research study.

Peer Review Process
All of the manuscript is initially checked by the associate editor to ascertain whether it is in line with the scope of IJBI. Afterwards, the manuscript is sent for double-blind anonymous peer review, wherein the reviewers review the manuscript based on the guidelines set out by IJBI. Upon review, the reviewers will come up with one of the following four decisions:
– Accept the manuscript
– Reject the manuscript
– Request a minor revision
– Request a major revision
The constructive feedback from the reviewers helps the authors in adding value to the manuscript. It also improves the overall knowledge and practical exposure of the authors.
