Welcome to MBA in Health Economics offered by Rushford Business School. Health Economics is one of the most impactful branches of economics. It is an applied science which involves the use of economic fundamentals and theories. It helps to understand how individuals, governments, hospitals and healthcare systems, and other stakeholders make decisions regarding the promotion of health and wellbeing of individuals and societies.
One of the aims of health economics is the promotion of a positive and healthy lifestyle and we aim to accomplish this through a rigorous study of all stakeholders involved in the delivery of services across the spectrum of healthcare. The focus is on creating efficiencies through process engineering, technology application, pricing, strategic investment, and modulation of the social fabric.
The Rushford MBA in Health Economics has been designed keeping in mind the needs of professionals who are currently involved in healthcare set up and would like to gain a formal qualification in health economics along with a degree in business and management. It is also well suited to new graduates who would like to equip themselves with the knowledge and skills required to create a competitive edge for themselves in their careers in healthcare. The program focuses on hands-on learning through case studies and simulated scenarios that expose the student to complex economic challenges that are faced by health organizations.
Students who complete this course find opportunities in a wide variety of organizations including health agencies, international health organizations, NGOs, academia and governmental agencies involved in health delivery and promotion.

You are required to hold at minimum a recognised bachelor’s degree with a minimum overall score of 55% (GPA 2.0 on a 4.0 point scale) or higher.
In some instances, you may also require relevant work experience and/or research experience. If applicable, you may demonstrate this through submission of a CV, portfolio, and/or a personal statement.

Our programs are conducted in English language. As such, you must demonstrate proficiency in English language by submitting one of the following test scores during the application process:

The English proficiency test is not required for the following candidates:

Various courses are accompanied by simulations in which you are given a situation that you must resolve based on what you learnt in the program and your experience.
