Unlocking a Smarter Future: How AI is Revolutionizing Daily Life

Artificial intelligence is reducing the workload of people by assisting them in scheduling systems and managing the same with speed and accuracy. Most people are associated with AI as a part of mainstream society towards developing technological reality in the world. Although AI is not capable of completing sensible and commonsense tasks at this time in the market, it can perform activities at a much faster pace than any other human brain. The audience is smart enough to use AI in their daily lives by training it to use with ethics and morals. AI can assist people and companies in gathering information, drawing statistics, streamlining operations, and doing routine customer service operations without indulging in any leadership program or judgment. ChatGPT, a new AI chatbot in the current technology market, is assisting people with creative thinking, gathering information, decision-making, and personalizing operations with speed.

Amir Husain, Founder, and CEO of machine-learning company SparkCognition, says, “Artificial intelligence is kind of the second coming of software. It’s a form of software that makes decisions on its own that’s able to act even in situations not foreseen by the programmers. Artificial intelligence has a wider latitude of decision-making ability as opposed to traditional software.” However, AI needs assistance to enhance the life of work in different ways where it is able to perform on the basis of input given by humans. And there is a significant upside to automated operations conducted by human brains.

Financial Sector

AI solutions are assisting the financial industry in its regular banking operations. For example, the CEO of AI concierge company Flybits, Dr. Hossein Rahnama, worked together with visiting professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology on TD Bank to integrate AI with regular banking operations. AI helped them to send renewal emails to the customers by default through a personalized email sending tool for mortgage, renewal, purchase, etc. These experts integrated AI with their personal lives to build a system that can self-analyze and manage operations for them.

AI can boost the decision-making abilities and creative thinking approaches of humans in their daily lives.

Automation

AI is increasingly being used by automation industries to learn about robot behaviors and understand them as a practitioner. In consumer technology, AI is working as intelligent virtual assistants like Siri, Alexa, Google Assistant, Bing, and other bots that have become part of our daily lives. They are capable of assisting humans in performing daily activities hands-free, from calling contact cards to playing music and setting reminders providing information as and when required. Similarly, SEB, a major Swedish bank, is using the virtual assistant Aida to interact with their customers. Aida has access to data stores of the company so that it can help millions of its customers answer FAQs and make cross-border payments. In case Aida is unable to resolve any query, human assistance is provided to the customers. They are capable of resolving complex issues with extra hand-holding. Although recently, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella scolded voice assistants by calling them “dumb as a rock.”

As Nadella is on the journey to take AI to the next level, introducing all-new Bing with new capabilities to assist humans and organizations, “Whether it’s Cortana or Alexa or Google Assistant or Siri, all these just don’t work. We had a product that was supposed to be the new front-end to a lot of [information] that didn’t work,” Nadella had said.

Content Creation

AI uses a vast amount of data to predict recommendations for people and provide relevant information. Considering AI technology is advancing, it is being used by people to create content on social media platforms – Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. The real-time speech detection capability of AI is used to transcribe speeches without internet connectivity. It facilitates communication between people and distributes a voice-searchable version for the people who are unable to attend it. Are you a content creator? For content creators, bloggers, and influencers, AI chatbots, and collaboration tools provide routine assistance in creating posts and stories and even schedule them to post in their absence. For instance, in the world of promoting small businesses, AI is easier to use for people targeting a specific audience. Alexa and Google Assistant are helping people keep reminders to post and even generate hashtags trending in the market to better reach the market.

“We’re no longer expecting the user to constantly be on a search box Googling what they need,” Rahnama, founder and CEO of AI concierge company Flybits, added. “The paradigm is shifting as to how the right information finds the right user at the right time.”

Manufacturing

AI is ever-evolving, integrating with ML and deep learning methods. AI-enabled machines are helping people keep their objects and tools in warehouses and laboratories. In the manufacturing industry, AI-enabled robots are used to assist humans with the heavy lifting of machines and tools. It complements the human workforce in assembling gear motors. For example, Hyundai is using AI-powered wearable robotic devices to assist humans in real time by gaining superhuman strength and endurance to lift weights. In machine cutting, grinding, polishing, deburring, and material handling, AI is now used in almost all large-sized manufacturing units across the globe. It even helps in keeping track of the supplies by scheduling reminders and streamlining operations by sending alerts.

Navigation

AI assists the daily lives of human beings in commuting from one place to another place – big trips, tours, and travel. Navigation services in real-time are used by Google and Apple through an internet connection to interpret hundreds and thousands of data points received by people using the application on their mobile phones. For example, Uber uses convolutional neural networks in many domains to coordinate transforms. Maps are built to maximize the efficiency of movements in space at the Uber marketplace. People from across the world are using Uber AI location services to travel to their offices, homes, and other places. In today’s world, no person can even imagine a life without Google maps to reach places. AI even matches the request of a rider and ride when searched to travel to take people from place A to B. However, Uber might be the first AI-first company to use its services for fraud detection, risk assessment, marketing spending, and allocation of services.

“We don’t even think about it anymore,” Uber director of product Jairam Ranganathan said today at VB Transform, an AI-focused conference. “It’s kinda like not thinking about computers.”

With millions of customers, Uber is using AI-based systems in customer services and handles incidents best when they get routed to service agents.

AI: The Future Predictor

As can be seen, human lives are greatly impacted by artificial intelligence on a daily basis. To summarize the point, AI is making decisions on our behalf and even impacting our choices in many different ways. Although AI-based systems has many a time been questioned over being moral and ethical, it does save a lot of time from people indulging in repetitive activities, streamlining operations, and generating by-default responses. Common people’s lives are influenced by AI as it gives extra time to perform small tasks that make a huge difference in growing a business.

“AI is starting to make what was once considered impossible possible, like driverless cars,” said Russell Glenister, CEO and founder of Curation Zone. “Driverless cars are only a reality because of access to training data and fast GPUs, which are both key enablers. To train driverless cars, an enormous amount of accurate data is required, and speed is key to undertaking the training. Five years ago, the processors were too slow, but the introduction of GPUs made it all possible.”

AI-based systems are even capable of changing the colors of the wallpapers of the living area of your house. It works as per your commands, and just wait to see how far it can go to connect places and people in the environment.
