We are delighted to announce the tremendous success of the one-week Faculty Development Program (FDP) arranged by Rushford Business School and the European School of Data Science and Technology (ESDST) in association with prestigious partners, including European Global Varsity, Narayana Business School, and Guru Nanak Institute of Management. This comprehensive event covered Systematic Literature Review (SLR), research and publications in top-tier journals, and developing proposals for research grants and Scopus-indexed books. It was offered online from June 26 to July 2, 2023.
A distinguished panel of resource persons, each a luminary in their field, graced the FDP with their expertise. Dr. K Mathiyazhagan, Chairperson of the Research Center at Thiagarajar School of Management, Tamil Nadu, India, shared valuable insights alongside Prof. Anuj Kumar from Apeejay School of Management, Delhi. Dr. Meghna Chhabra, a renowned Professor from Delhi School of Business, and Dr. Anoop Pandey from HNB Garhwal Central University, Pauri, Uttarakhand, enriched the program with their profound knowledge.
The FDP also welcomed experts such as Dr. Heena Thanki from Shri Jairambhai Patel Institute of Business Management and Computer Applications, Gandhinagar, Gujarat; Dr. Vandana Sharma from Amity Institute of Information Technology, Amity University, Noida Campus; Dr. Shirmila Stanley, Convener for the Centre of HRD at Madras Christian College, Chennai; Dr. Indra Meghrajani from Narayana Business School, Gujarat, and Dr. Monika Arora from Amity University Haryana, Gurugram.
The Faculty Development Program’s well-designed sessions gave participants a thorough understanding of SLR. The carefully structured curriculum ensured a smooth progression, covering diverse aspects of SLR and related research methodologies. The session schedule that went on for the seven days is mentioned below.
Day 1 – June 26:
Dr. Meghna Chhabra commenced the program, conducting sessions on the fundamentals of SLR from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Following this, Dr. K. Mathiyazhagan took the stage in the afternoon, shedding light on research and publication opportunities in top Scopus and ABDC journals.
Day 2 – June 27:
Dr. Meghna Chhabra continued her expertise, offering sessions on Bibliometric Analyses and an introduction to VOS Viewer from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, providing attendees valuable tools for their research endeavors.
Day 3 – June 28:
Prof. Anuj Kumar guided participants in selecting quality research topics and delved into the art of drafting research grant proposals from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Day 4 – June 29:
Dr. Meghna Chhabra led a hands-on training session using VOS Viewer software, followed by Dr. Indra Meghrajani’s insightful case drafting and publication session. Dr. Heena Thanki rounded off the day by sharing expertise on handling desk reviews and reviewer comments in ABDC/Scopus journals.
Day 5 – June 30:
Dr. Vandana Sharma illuminated the process of drafting proposals for Scopus Indexed Books, while Dr. Shirmila Stanley hosted a special session for research scholars on formulating research problems and conducting literature reviews.
Day 6 – July 1:
Dr. Anoop Pandey commenced the day with a session on drafting proposals for ICSSR/AICTE projects and grants. Subsequently, he shared insights into various research methodologies.
Day 7 – July 2:
The program concluded on a high note with Dr. Monika Arora’s session on Ethics in Research Publication from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, underlining the importance of ethical considerations in the academic journey.
The one-week FDP provided a comprehensive approach to the complexities of these essential academic endeavors. Throughout the week, participants were privileged to receive in-depth insights from esteemed experts in their respective fields. The program, a collaborative effort by ESDST and Rushford Business School, was a resounding success, impeccably blending theoretical knowledge with practical applications.
